PoRtraits
Photos are metaphors, making the abstract concrete and mystifying the mundane. Be clear, be confident, and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself.
Writing / projects
During my final year in college, I spearheaded the first ever edition of "Faces of Black Penn", a publication that combines images and written work. This publication aimed to highlight the diversity within the Black community at my alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania. Through images and reflections from students across the university, in different years and fields of study, this publication amplified the voices of Black students on campus and provided a platform for them to reflect on their experiences on and off campus.
